Job Summary
Lead front-end development phases of restaurant construction projects, including permitting, architect/consultant coordination, design development, budgeting, and preparing projects for handoff to the construction team. Manage architects, MEP engineers, kitchen consultants, and structural engineers; oversee schematic design, design development, and construction documents; ensure constructability, code compliance, brand standards, and timely permit approvals. Coordinate landlord approvals, conduct site due diligence, manage bid processes and contractor selection, identify value engineering opportunities, and ensure a clean project handoff to the construction team. Requires strong restaurant or retail build-out experience, multi-site coordination, and excellent organizational/communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8+ years in preconstruction, design management, or development
- Strong experience in restaurant or retail build-outs
- Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering (preferred)
