Job Summary
Preconstruction Manager for data center construction leads preconstruction efforts, managing budgets, schedules, and quality. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing price/cost proposals, scope, material pricing and quotations, reviewing labor rates, reviewing contractor markups, assisting with sales/proposals, interfacing with Project Managers and subcontractors, developing cost estimates from engineering drawings, preparing material take-offs, and accumulating historical cost data. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Construction and 5-10 years of cost-estimating experience; familiarity with construction estimation software (Timberline, CMIC) and MS Office tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Construction
- 5-10 years of experience in performing Cost Estimates, Reviewing Contractor's Price and Cost Proposals for major engineering and construction projects
- Experience with Construction Estimation Software (Timberline, CMIC, etc.)
- MS Office Skills to include: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio
- Experience with Construction Services for Large Buildings / Facilities
- Electrical / Mechanical Systems background
- Excellent customer service skills
- Capable of Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment
