Job Summary
Operate a diamond flycut machine to machine plano and cylinder mirrors and lens components per drawings, engineering specifications and II-VI standards. Verify critical dimensions and part thickness, set up tools for various materials, balance the flywheel, and record process notes. Maintain first-time yield through QA procedures, document quality data, and follow safety and ISO-related requirements in a clean-room manufacturing environment. Able to work independently to resolve minor problems, multitask across machines to maximize output, and report issues to supervision. Emphasis on meticulous measurement, setup verification, reading drawings, engineering notes, and adherence to QA and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read drawings and engineering notes
- Quality documentation
- Safety procedures
