Precision Ag Technician

Job Summary
Install, configure, and commission precision agriculture technology systems on customer equipment, performing preseason setups and diagnosing repairs for displays, receivers, and controllers. Complete software updates, activations, and licensing while monitoring system performance to assist customers in using the technology effectively. Provide phone and remote troubleshooting for John Deere Operations Center, telematics, and connected solutions, helping clients organize data to improve decision-making. Train customers on proper system use and care, lead hands-on field and classroom sessions, and partner with account managers for onboarding. Participate in the Gooseneck Technical Assistance Center call rotation and after-hours support during peak seasons, while staying current on hardware and software advancements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak seasons
- Ability to lift and move equipment, parts, and tools
- Comfortable working in a variety of conditions and environments
- Commitment to customer data privacy and security
- Works effectively independently and within a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience or internships in precision ag, ag technology, service, or related field
- Familiarity with John Deere equipment, displays, receivers, and Operations Center
