Precast Quality Control Technician

Job Summary
Run aggregate gradations and test precast concrete daily, following OSHA, MSHA, and H&K safety policies while assuring compliance with quality control plans. Sample and test materials per standard practices, maintain test records, and calibrate equipment to standards. Keep a clean work environment, establish communication lines with plant operations and agency representatives, and work with the sales team to address customer issues. Generate reports communicating results and trends to the quality control team. Requires two years of related experience, ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1 certification, and ability to read production plans. Hours vary by project and may include overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of related experience
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1 and PQS Certification
- Able to read and understand general production plans
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of precast concrete, or NPCA precast training
- Experience working with state DOT regulations & paperwork
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be available for overtime and weekends
