Job Summary
Strategic Account Manager for a remote, territory-based role focused on identifying and expanding key commercial accounts for NWPX Infrastructure. The position emphasizes developing relationships with owners, developers, engineers, contractors, distributors, and municipalities; managing a territory growth plan; prospecting via networking, appointments, events, referrals, and digital tools; maintaining steady sales activity through in-person meetings and proactive communication; utilizing CRM systems (Salesforce, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo) to qualify and track opportunities; visiting job sites and customer locations; attending industry events to strengthen market presence; collaborating with Regional Sales Engineers, Project Sales Representatives, plant leadership, and technical teams to deliver project-specific solutions; training and guiding teams across multiple locations and ensuring timely reporting of activity and forecasts; and traveling regularly within the territory while upholding NWPX standards of professionalism and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Construction, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
- 5–7+ years of outside sales, business development, or strategic account management experience within the construction or related industry
- Demonstrated success working independently in a remote or territory-based sales role with measurable sales performance results
- Estimating, bid development, project management, or technical sales experience is a plus
- Experience within commercial and/or residential real estate development, design, engineering, or construction markets preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce, strongly preferred
- SAP or other large ERP system experience is considered a plus
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned sales region, including overnight travel as needed
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- High level of professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents
