Job Summary
Interpret erection drawings and details, then plot them accurately for production use. Coordinate with the Project Lead to set shop card detailing priorities and review erection information together. Generate shop cards using CAD/modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and verify they align with standard detailing practices. Deliver scrubbed shop cards to the Project Lead for final verification and sign-off. Apply red-line edits from the Project Lead's check prints, ensuring every revision is captured. Detail Steel Cards based on sketches or markups from Project Designers or Design Engineers. This role supports a design team across varied precast projects with hands-on responsibility for tangible results in the shop and field.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (2-year) in Design Drafting or a related field preferred
- Less than one year of related experience required
- An equivalent blend of education and relevant experience may substitute for a degree
- CAD software
- AutoCAD
