Job Summary
BIM Modeler & Drafter for precast concrete projects in Mississauga, ON. Develop extensive precast product knowledge and prepare general layout and detailed drawings using 3D Tekla; perform quantity take-offs and bill of materials, ensure fabrication drawings are accurate, and review work of other modelers. Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers, Sales, Estimators, Production Supervisors, and Field Erectors under tight timelines. Requires reading construction drawings and proficiency in 3D BIM software and AutoCAD; familiarity with Bluebeam and MS Office is a plus. Required Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in Civil, Architectural, Structural or Mechanical Technology is preferred
- Less education with precast concrete experience will be considered
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Bluebeam
- Proficient with 3D BIM software and AutoCAD
- Skilled at reading construction drawings
- Capability to customize 3D BIM and AutoCAD menus is an asset
