Job Summary
Pre-weigh materials as needed, including preparing documentation and labels, coordinating delivery, and updating pallet placard quantities using QR codes. Understand and follow recipes and written instructions to ensure raw materials are used based on specifications. Maintain work areas in clean and sanitary conditions while operating equipment safely and efficiently. Identify potential defects in materials and bring attention to issues. Work in a team environment adhering to GMP, safety, and company guidelines. This role supports large-scale food manufacturing processes for Vitamin, Mineral & Supplement products.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a light industrial/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and safe food handling
- Knowledge of mathematics performing calculations and conversions
- Intermediate reading comprehension, decision-making, teamwork, time-management, analytical and mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food production and/or packaging items such as bottles, bulk cases and bags
- Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office and/or production software
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
