Job Summary

Facilitate classroom-based pre-vocational instruction and coordinate community-based volunteer and job skill experiences aligned with each individual's person-centered plan. Provide direct supervision to up to eight participants, ensuring adherence to weekly schedules while integrating life skills, travel training, and social behaviors into daily activities. Serve as the designated driver for group outings using a personal vehicle and maintain consistent communication with families and interdisciplinary team members. Complete objective documentation including daily service notes, progress reports, monthly summaries, and annual evaluations in compliance with agency and OPWDD standards. Work full-time, 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, in Westbury, NY.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid NYS Driver's License
  • Own transportation with Proof of Insurance and Registration
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Smartphone Required
  • Bachelor's in Special Education
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • NYS valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and adapt to different work environments
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, integrated employment opportunities
  • Proficiency in using smartphones and workplace software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Must possess and maintain a personal cell phone for work-related communication

Desired Qualifications

  • ID/DD experience preferred
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
