Job Summary
Pre-Trip role responsible for conducting thorough inspections of railcars before dispatch, ensuring safety protocols are followed and railcars are in optimal condition for transportation. The role collaborates with maintenance teammates to identify and address safety or efficiency concerns, verifies components meet safety standards and regulatory requirements, maintains accurate inspection and repair records, and communicates findings to the Location Supervisor. Requires ability to read, write, and communicate in English, physical fitness to meet job demands, and outdoor work in varying conditions; license required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in railcar inspection, maintenance, or a related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
