Job Summary
Market for new referrals by conducting presentations, calling sources, and identifying community targets. Maintain regular contact with referral sources and provide customer service to external and internal customers. Communicate weekly with the Regional Supervisor regarding active numbers, needs, red flags, and census projections. Process forms, conduct assessments, and complete referral packets for submission to Placement Services. Contact current and previous service providers to discuss ongoing service needs after enrollment. Collect clinical information, verify Medicaid eligibility, and provide support for obtaining eligibility if inactive. Provide crisis response and intervention during emergency situations while determining eligibility. Attend weekly meetings and quarterly trainings to enhance clinical skills. Complete accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a social services discipline
- Must have or be eligible for Mississippi's DMH credentialing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in providing customer service and comprehensive mental health assessments
- Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families in a volunteer, internship, or paid position
- Clinical experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
