Job Summary
Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency across mixed-age groups. Assist with daily routines and classroom activities while helping create a warm, safe, and engaging environment. Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care, modeling patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction. This on-call, as-needed position offers flexible hours ideal for part-time or supplemental work, with no formal Montessori training required as orientation and onboarding are provided. Many substitutes progress to full-time Assistant Teacher roles within the global community dedicated to transforming education through independence and respect.
Required Qualifications
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months
- Valid state background check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor
- Passion for working with young children
Desired Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
- Recent experience working with children ages 0–6
