Job Summary
Assist teachers with planning classroom curricula and activities that foster language, social, and emotional growth for assigned children. Conduct daily health checks, monitor developmental screenings, and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Supervise classroom activities during teacher absences while maintaining safe, supportive learning environments and clear, age-appropriate rules. Prepare children for kindergarten transitions and help develop dual language skills in the classroom. This seasonal full-time role runs from April through December, including off-peak downtime. Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED, a Preschool Child Development Associate credential (CDA), and current driver's license. The position requires standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, and passing background checks and tuberculosis clearance. Required Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Preschool Child Development Associate credential (CDA)
- Be enrolled in a CDA program that will be completed in 2 years
- OR associate degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education
- Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance
- Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis
- Must obtain Pedatric First Aid and CPR certification
