Job Summary
Pre-Sales Solutions Architect for Halcyon (Toronto, Eastern Canada). Remote-native, distributed global team with a focus on cyber resilience solutions. Responsibilities include advising and educating customers and channel partners, driving revenue with sales teams, coordinating technical demonstrations and proofs-of-concept, translating customer requests to product/engineering, and maintaining advisory relationships with stakeholders. The role involves quota contribution, involvement in demonstrations, endpoint testing, virtual lab configurations, staying current on industry trends, and supporting marketing and thought leadership. Required skills include deep knowledge of modern security architectures, experience in pre-sales and enterprise evaluations, exceptional communication, cross-functional collaboration, and scripting/API familiarity. Travel up to 40% within the territory and residence within an hour of a major metro area are required; a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) is expected, with preferred certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC GCFA, or GCIH.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales role within the cybersecurity industry (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Channel Engineer, or Technical Advisor)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated success leading POCs, demos, and technical evaluations with enterprise customers
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams
- Familiarity with APIs, scripting, and integrations for ecosystem interoperability
- Must reside within one hour of a major metro area and be willing to travel up to 40% within assigned territory
