Job Summary
Pre-Sales Engineer for a SaaS platform leads complex technical discussions with customers and prospects, serves as primary technical contact during the sales process, tailors solutions to client environments, and collaborates across product, engineering, sales, and client services to meet customer needs. The role involves evangelizing the Ninth Wave Platform, responding to information requests and proposals, ensuring client success, and participating in events such as user groups and trade shows. Requires strong presentation and communication skills, ability to manage multiple stakeholders, familiarity with financial services data protocols and APIs, and comfort with NoSQL/SQL databases and scripting languages.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in a technology solutions or implementation role for a Technical SaaS product servicing Financial Institutions
- Excellent presentation skills (in-person and remote)
- Well-organized, goal oriented, flexible with a willingness to grow professionally
- Strong analytical skills, adaptable and the ability adjust to atypical issues/opportunities
- Is comfortable interacting with customers at all levels along with appropriate representatives to analyze, validate, specify, verify, and document business strategy
- Comfortable working under high levels of accountability and measurable performance
- Can work efficiently and productively without detailed direction or guidance
- Has the ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner and capable of exercising good independent judgement
- Familiarity with financial services data connectivity protocols, e.g., OFX, FDX, BAI2
- Familiarity with different methods of data sharing in financial services today, i.e., Restful APIs
- Familiarity with different methods of IAM (identity and access management), specifically oAuth2
- Comfort with technology and general knowledge of NoSQL and SQL databases and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Bash, JavaScript, Python, Go, Lua, Ruby, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
- General knowledge of various digital marketing tools: analytics, attribution, ad serving, DMPs, push, social media.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for solving problems
