Pre/Post Op Registered Nurse Part-Time

Job Summary
The RN provides patient-centered care across pre/post-operative units, coordinating and delivering care per nursing process, with responsibilities including assessments, medication administration, assisting during procedures in several surgical sub-specialties (Critical Care, Emergency Services, OR, Cardiac, Endoscopy, Obstetrics, Oncology, Orthopedics, PACU, NICU, Telemetry, Dialysis, Cath Lab), and collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans. The role emphasizes infection control, patient education, responding to emergencies (CPR, code team), operating and monitoring medical equipment (IV pumps, monitors, ventilators), and participating in performance improvement initiatives. Requires strong knowledge of nursing processes, effective communication, safety standards, and adherence to organizational policies, with licensure as an RN and BCLS certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred. The position is part-time (25-30 hours/week) at Physicians Regional Medical Center – Naples, FL, with benefits including medical, vision, dental, and 401k, plus student loan assistance and various incentives.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
