Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive outpatient medical evaluations and consultations for complex patients with multiple co-morbidities scheduled for surgery. Perform thorough history and physicals, order and interpret labs and imaging, and determine if patients are medically optimized prior to their surgical procedure. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, primary care physicians, and consultants to coordinate care. Support a broad scope of patients across two locations at Kaiser Sunyside and Westside Medical Centers, with flexibility to rotate between sites. Coordinate and assist with the multi-disciplinary Senior Surgical Care Program. This role offers a 0.9 FTE, 4-day work week with no call duties, and includes opportunities for leadership and shareholder pathways within Northwest Permanente.

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine or a Medicine sub-specialty
  • Ability to excel in evaluating complex patients with multiple co-morbid conditions
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to support both Kaiser Sunnyside and Westside Medical Centers locations
  • Support for a broad scope of patients
  • Coordination or assistance with the multi-disciplinary Senior Surgical Care Program
  • Ability to provide high-quality, comprehensive care
  • Thorough history and physical capability
  • Ability to order appropriate labs and imaging
