Pre Op Registered Nurse - FT

Conduct thorough preoperative assessments by reviewing patient histories, physical exams, and lab results. Provide patients and families with surgical process information, preoperative instructions, and emotional support. Prepare patients for surgery through IV initiation, medication administration, and consent verification while monitoring vital signs. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal guidelines. Requires current Kansas RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and experience in preoperative or surgical nursing. Physical duties include lifting up to 75 pounds and prolonged standing based on patient volume and surgical schedule.
