Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, verify patient identities and consents, and initiate IV access to prepare patients for surgery. Monitor vital signs, document clinical data, and provide patient education regarding procedures and expectations. Receive post-operative patients, assess airway and wound sites, manage fluids and transfusions, and determine readiness for transfer or discharge. Respond to post-operative emergencies and maintain a clean, organized PACU environment. Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure safe surgical experiences. Requires current Wyoming RN license, BLS/CPR, and acute care or perioperative experience.

- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in fast-paced or emergent situations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia, leadership, and peers
- Proficient with modern clinical equipment and EMR systems
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling
- Adequate visual, auditory, and manual dexterity required to perform essential nursing functions
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wyoming
- Current CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- EMR proficiency
- ACLS and PALS certifications (required within a defined timeframe after hire)
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of acute care or perioperative nursing experience
- EMR proficiency EPIC
