Job Summary
Provide care of patients within the Pre-Op/PACU Department under the supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager. Offer teaching, clinical supervision, and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. Deliver professional nursing care and related assistance to patients, while directing licensed vocational nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care. Requires current Texas RN licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS or TNCC within six months. Demonstrated proficiency in at least five surgical specialties or PACU experience is preferred. This role supports OakBend Medical Center's commitment to exceptional community care through its three hospitals and specialty centers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- 3 years of recent clinical experience
- Three years clinical experience
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse
- American Heart Association BLS
- ACLS, TNCC or equivalent within 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least 5 surgical specialties or PACU or Endoscopy preferred
- Prior coordinating experience preferred
