Job Summary
Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care for pre-op and Phase II recovery patients, performing thorough assessments and developing individualized care plans. Documents care accurately in electronic records, identifies patient learning needs, and recognizes cultural differences to personalize support. Functions as a resource for colleagues, delegates appropriately using the Synergy Model, and works with the interdisciplinary team. Assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned, assists in orienting staff and students, and identifies policy revision needs based on evidence-based research. Collects and analyzes data to improve patient care and meets clinical lattice PLAN system requirements. Requires a BSN or ADN with recent nursing experience, valid Georgia RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Recent completion of a re-entry nursing program
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Current LPNs employed within the Emory Healthcare (EHC) system who have completed an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire
- Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education program
- Certification in Wound Care and Ostomy Care within 12 months of entering the role
- Travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Recent completion of an ADN-to-BSN program within two years of entering the RN Clinician role
