Job Summary
Teach in a UPK classroom with a clear curriculum framework, implementing the Creative Curriculum and aligning instruction to NYS Early Learning Standards. Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction for four-year-olds, support early literacy and numeracy, document progress, and communicate with families. Collaborate with teacher assistants and staff to maintain an ECERS-3 aligned classroom, participate in professional development, and take advantage of employer-paid childcare benefits. This role emphasizes teamwork with families and the school community, with part-time hours in a non-exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS Early Childhood Teaching Certification (Birth–2, N–6, Pre-K–6) or Bachelor’s with approved 5-Year Plan
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- Experience with preschool-age children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Requires the ability to pass all required state background checks
- Part-Time position with hours 8:45 am-2:30 pm, Monday-Friday
