Job Summary
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with South Carolina Early Learning Standards for students ages 3–5. Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning through play while supervising students to ensure health, safety, and well-being. Support foundational skills in early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth, and assist with daily living activities including toileting and feeding. Maintain accurate student records, assess development using appropriate tools, and communicate regularly with parents regarding progress. Collaborate with instructional assistants and colleagues to ensure effective classroom operations. Participate in professional development and uphold all school policies and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to implement play-based and structured learning experiences
- Strong classroom management and supervision skills appropriate for young children
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Early Childhood Education preferred (if applicable based on program requirements)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
