Job Summary
Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing of classroom activities. Support instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics; help supervise students in lunchroom, bus, and playground; maintain neat and orderly classroom; assist with preparing instructional materials, administering and scoring tests, and keeping required records. Assist substitute teachers and participate in staff development and faculty events. Requires an Associate’s degree (or two years of college), and a valid Texas Educational Aide certificate. Strong communication skills and ability to work well with children are essential.
