Pre-K Teachers Aide (4yr); M-Thurs mornings

Under the supervision of the Recreation Supervisor and the Preschool Teacher, the Preschool Teacher Aide is responsible for the instruction, and planning of preschool classes, organizing the classroom, and assisting in maintaining and implementing budgets for individual classes. Essential duties include assisting with promoting the emotional, physical, mental and social wellbeing in the classroom, preparing class materials (cutting paper, pasting, copying, stapling, retrieving materials), assisting the instructor with activities (craft projects, snack time, getting children in line), communicating accurate information from parents to the instructor, demonstrating good judgment and problem-solving skills, participating in pre-employment and in-service training, assisting with classroom cleanup, reinforcing safety practices, supporting policies of the Roselle Park District, and taking over teaching duties when needed.
