Job Summary
Co-teach in a Pre-K classroom as part of a teaching team (lead and apprentice) to foster a love for learning through literacy, math, science, and social studies. Model and support expressive/receptive language, differentiate instruction using data, and collaborate with the instructional coach and Director to meet academic and performance goals. Contribute to a nurturing classroom culture, support families to ensure appropriate resources, and participate in practice-based professional development and weekly meetings to strengthen instructional practice. Responsibilities include classroom management, data analysis of student work, ongoing assessments, providing administrative/documentation support, and engaging in school-wide activities and routines to promote positive student development.
Required Qualifications
- A demonstrated commitment to supporting students’ social emotional and academic development
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (teacher certification not prerequisite)
- 1-2 years experience preferred in urban schools and communities
