Job Summary
Collaborate with co-teachers to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, and monthly newsletters while maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms. Engage students in free play, supervise outdoor zones, assist with bathroom needs, diapering, and meal preparation, and support naptime routines. Track children's progress through assessments, post parent information on Class Dojo, and attend monthly staff meetings. Adhere to structured schedules, complete required professional development hours, and maintain the PQ registry. This role requires an EEC-certified preschool teacher with daycare experience, flexibility for an 8-hour shift including opening and closing duties, and the ability to stand 90% of the workday. Required Qualifications
- EEC Teacher Preschool Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience
- Daycare experience in a center-based, private, or public school setting
- Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
- Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
- Attentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skills
- Maintaining your EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry
