Job Summary
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials while implementing differentiated strategies to meet the needs of all pre-kindergarten learners. Maintain effective classroom management by recognizing and addressing learning and behavior issues, ensuring a safe environment that protects students, materials, and facilities. Regularly evaluate student accomplishments using multiple assessment methods and communicate progress to parents and staff. Uphold board policies, district goals, and school rules while adhering to health and safety standards. Share responsibility for student supervision across various school areas and perform assigned non-instructional duties.
Required Qualifications
- North Carolina Teaching license
- Bachelor's Degree from an approved education program in the subject area
- Strong background and understanding of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to speak, hear, use hands to finger/handle/feel, perform repetitive motions, sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull
- Standard vision requirements
- Ability to prepare and analyze written or computer data, operate machines/equipment, observe surroundings
- Ability to occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions
