Job Summary
Plan and execute an early childhood program aligned with PBIS, develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and families, plan developmentally appropriate activities, conduct developmental screenings and set individualized goals, meet with parents to discuss results, maintain records and reports (lesson plans, attendance, assessments, newsletters, incident and anecdotal notes), provide daily open communication with parents, supervise subordinates, ensure licensing compliance (DHS, STARS, NAEYC), stay current with required clearances and health physicals, participate in trainings and staff meetings, and carry out additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field
- Group Supervisor I-A: bachelor’s degree with 30 credit hours in relevant fields and one-year experience with children
- Group Supervisor II: associate’s degree with two years of experience; or associate’s with 30 credit hours and three years experience
- Be familiar with licensing regulations as specified by DHS; STARS and NAEYC regulations; maintain required clearances (NSOR) and health physical
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to kneel, stoop, bend, reach, and sit on the floor daily
- Supervise subordinates; maintain records and reports; communicate with parents; participate in staff meetings
- Travel not typically expected; hours 9:30am-5:30pm; 37.5-40 hours per week; full-time exempt position
- Be familiar with program philosophy; PBIS implementation; maintain a program aligning with the goals and objectives
