Job Summary
Create a secure, welcoming Pre-K 3 & 4 classroom environment aligned with Texas Rising Star standards. Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through structured and unstructured play. Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting milestones to adjust teaching strategies and support individual needs. Maintain consistent communication with families via Procare regarding meals, behaviors, and classroom updates. Enforce hygiene, food safety, and supervision procedures while supporting children during meals, toileting, and personal care routines. Utilize positive guidance techniques to teach social skills and emotional regulation. Document meals, attendance, and required CACFP paperwork. Participate in ongoing training and collaborate cooperatively with staff to ensure a holistic learning experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a child care setting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a daycare or early childhood environment
- Ability to create lesson plans meeting Texas Rising Star standards
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand as needed
- Flexibility in a fast-paced learning environment
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Completion of 24-hour Pre-Service Training
- Reliable, patient, and committed to child development
