Job Summary
Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development by assisting with lesson plans, classroom activities, and daily routines under the Lead Teacher's direction. Provide close supervision during personal care routines like toileting and handwashing while maintaining a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment. Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff to address individual student needs, ensuring consistent attendance for program stability. Work hands-on in an active classroom setting, lifting up to 50 lbs and engaging in movement throughout the day.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must successfully pass all required state background checks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, run, and sit on the floor
- Ability to lift and carry children when necessary
- Ability to supervise children closely at all times
- Ability to remain active throughout the day in a hands-on classroom environment
- Must be able to work under the direction of the Lead Teacher
- Must be able to support and carry out lesson plans, classroom activities, and daily routines
- Must be able to assist with implementing learning activities and supporting smooth classroom transitions
- Must be able to support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Must be able to provide close supervision and support children with personal care routines, including toileting and handwashing
- Must be able to help maintain a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Must be able to build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff
- Must be able to support the Lead Teacher in addressing and planning for individual student needs
- Must be able to maintain consistent attendance
- Must be able to complete additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Teacher or supervisor
