Job Summary
Pre-K Teacher Assistant (UPK) in Arlington Central School District is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher with implementing lesson plans, supporting daily classroom activities in a structured Pre-K environment, and fostering social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Duties include assisting with learning activities, managing transitions, supervising personal care routines (including toileting and handwashing), maintaining a clean and safe classroom, building positive relationships with children and families, supporting individualized student needs, and upholding UPK program requirements. Requires a high school diploma or GED and Teacher Assistant Certification; Associate’s degree in education or related field is preferred; state background checks must be cleared. Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability are essential for success in a hands-on, active classroom setting.
