Job Summary
Lead and supervise the After School Pre-K program at Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary School. Roles include program leadership, planning and leading hands-on activities across fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support; ensuring compliance with state regulations and Healthy Kids Policies; managing attendance and registration; scheduling and maintaining appropriate staffing levels; and communicating with families via the Playground App. Requires leadership, strong communication, ability to motivate a team, and experience supervising staff in an early childhood setting; must meet NYS background check and be medically cleared. Part-time, non-exempt role with employer-paid childcare benefits and other benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, plus one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience in an early childhood setting
- Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
- New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or other office-recognized credential, with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience.
