Job Summary
Provide special education instruction to Pre-K students, developing or modifying curricula and preparing lessons to meet individual needs. Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs and implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill-development programs. Assess learning styles and plan activities using diverse instructional techniques and technology. Work with classroom teachers to modify curricula, participate in IEP and intervention meetings, supervise paraprofessional staff, and maintain documentation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Kansas teaching license with endorsements as required, plus relevant student teaching or internship experience. Strong communication, collaboration, and planning skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Kansas teaching license and endorsements as required for the position or Willing to get appropriate teaching license and/or endorsement
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
