Job Summary
Oversee the well-being of Pre-K children during activities and open play spaces, ensuring their safety at all times and addressing occasional emergencies. Lead and facilitate participation in art, storytime, tumbling, and other group activities while maintaining a positive community environment for all participants. Engage with both children and after-school members, answer questions, and follow all safety and emergency procedures and guidelines. Work Thursday and Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM as part of a team at Manhattan Youth's Pre-K after-school program.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood, Child Development or related field
- Child Development Associate Credential or other Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period
- one year of experience related to caring for children
- 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field
- a plan of study leading to a Child Development Associate Credential
- two years of experience related to caring for children
Desired Qualifications
- working towards, or with, a degree in Early Childhood/Education
- Experience working in an early childhood environment such as Preschool, Daycare Centers, Pre K or babysitting/caregiving
