Job Summary
Lead the afternoon after-school program from 2:45 to 6:00 pm, fostering learning through play while maintaining safe, ratio-compliant staffing and accurate records for compliance. Manage daily inventory to ensure materials are stocked and ready for inspection, while building strong relationships with children, families, and teammates. This role is ideal for parents, education majors, or retirees seeking hands-on experience in a mission-driven environment that supports student growth and community engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field
- Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience)
- 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience)
- Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)
- Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance
- Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children
