Job Summary
Implement the HighScope Preschool curriculum with fidelity, planning and executing daily routines through a team-teaching model with the GSRP Teacher. Facilitate developmentally appropriate learning experiences while consulting with directors to establish strategies for child behavior. Establish positive relationships with children, staff, families, and the community, maintaining accurate records and adhering to all state licensing rules, district policies, and the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct. Demonstrate growth in Michigan Core Knowledge competencies and attend required professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
- CDA (Child Development Credential) or currently enrolled in a CDA program
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to obtain school and child care fingerprinting/background check
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, which may include bending, lifting, reaching overhead, moving throughout indoor and outdoor environments, and actively engaging in activities with young children
- Regular, reliable and punctual attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Trained in and experience in using the HighScope preschool curriculum and HighScope COR assessment
- GSRP experience
