Job Summary
Administers and scores a variety of assessments and rating scales for pre-kindergarten students to determine needs for special educational services, collaborating with School Psychologists and evaluators. Maintains testing files, ensures compliance with IDEA timelines for initial and re-evaluations, serves as LEA representative in special education meetings, and coordinates testing sessions using GO-IEP and Google Drive. Requires five years of successful special education teaching experience, a valid teaching license with special education certification, and preferably a Master’s degree. Strong organizational, communication, and data-management skills are needed to support district-level referral and evaluation processes.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of successful teaching experience as a special education teacher
- Valid teaching license with special education certification or endorsements
- Preferred Master’s Degree or higher
- Exhibit positive interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient filing, record-keeping, and computer skills
- Ability to schedule meetings and conferences
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on timelines
