Job Summary
Before- and after-school program staff for Kendall Elementary in Kendall, NY, part-time (7:00-8:30 am and 2:15-3:30 pm) in Healthy Kids Programs. Responsibilities include facilitating hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art) and homework assistance; maintaining a safe, healthy, clean, and engaging environment and serving as a positive role model; reporting ready to work at designated times and staying until the last child leaves; daily communication with parents via the Playground App; observing state guidelines and program/host school policies; and, in some roles, assisting with attendance, registration, and staffing. Requirements include being 18+, holding a HS diploma or equivalent, and ideally 1 year of experience with children ages 3–12; TB and general medical clearance; and being physically capable of performing duties and lifting up to 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry up to 50 lbs
- warm, friendly, upbeat demeanor and strong people skills
- Ability to report to program times and stay until last child leaves
- Ability to communicate daily with parents via Playground App
- Follow state guidelines and program policies
- Possibility of performing management functions such as attendance records, registration, and staffing
