Job Summary
Pre-k Childcare Staff for the Before & After School Program on a part-time, non-exempt schedule. Responsibilities include facilitating hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and homework help), maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging environment, serving as a positive role model, and communicating with parents via the Playground App. May assist with attendance, registration, and staffing. Requires availability during 7:00-9:15 am and 3:00-6:00 pm at Monticello, NY location; HS diploma or equivalent and 18+ years old are required; opportunity to contribute to employer-paid childcare benefits and other benefits. We follow state guidelines and program policies; light physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift (up to 50 lbs)
- Warm, friendly, upbeat demeanor
- Excellent communication skills with parents and guardians
- Ability to manage and supervise children in activities
- Ability to follow state guidelines and program policies
- Ability to work designated hours (7:00-9:15 am and 3:00-6:00 pm)
- Experience with children under 13 preferred
