Job Summary
Lead Before and After School programs for the 2026–2027 school year at Grafflin and Roaring Brook Elementary Schools, Chappaqua, NY. Manage morning sessions from 7:30–9:00 am and afternoon sessions from 2:55–5:15 pm, ensuring kids remain engaged, safe, and having fun daily. Maintain full staffing ratios, keep accurate records for compliance, and restock inventory before supplies run low. Work part-time, non-exempt hours following the school calendar. This role offers employer-paid childcare for enrolled children and is ideal for parents, education majors, or retirees seeking hands-on experience with children.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field
- Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience)
- 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience)
- Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)
- Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance
- Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children
