Job Summary
As an Assistant Teacher at Beacon Hill Schools, you will support the Lead Teacher in delivering daily lessons and routines using the Frog Street curriculum, assist with caregiving tasks (diapering, toileting, meals), supervise children during indoor/outdoor activities, help maintain an engaging classroom, and foster positive relationships with students and families while ensuring compliance with state licensing and school policies. The role is based at Watkinsville, Athens, and Bogart, GA locations with a Monday–Friday schedule, offering pay ranging from $14.00-$20.00 per hour based on education and experience, plus benefits such as medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO, holidays, tuition discounts, and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma required
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background checks
- DECAL requirements
- 6 months of experience in licensed childcare setting (or strong desire to learn)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Team-player attitude
- Familiarity with Frog Street curriculum (mentioned in responsibilities)
