Pre-Inspection Specialist

Job Summary
Evaluate incoming vehicles to determine repair procedures and diagnose problems. Perform thorough evaluations of equipment through multipoint inspections and understand and implement U-Haul quality standards. Diagnose and recommend courses of action (parts and labor); allocate necessary parts and labor on work orders for technicians; perform basic mechanical repairs as needed. Use U-Haul’s proprietary diagnostic tools and participate in continued learning via U-Haul education to stay up to date with current technology and new fleet. Thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment and contribute to ongoing safety and quality initiatives. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools
- Understanding of automotive/trailer mechanics
