Job Summary
Conduct background checks and coordinate employee health checks for new hires to ensure recruitment processes align with legal and regulatory standards. Manage pre-hire compliance documentation while maintaining discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information. Utilize HRIS tools to track candidate status and verify adherence to employment laws and industry standards. This role supports Baptist Health's Talent Acquisition Department in shaping a workforce that meets ethical standards across its network of hospitals and physician practices in Kentucky and Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5 years of proven experience in HR roles with a focus on compliance and background screening
- Familiarity with relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other relevant tools
- Residency in KY or IN
- Drug-free workplace status (subject to post offer, pre-employment drug testing)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in HR or related field is a plus
