Pre-Health Advisor

Job Summary
The Pre-Health Advisor will advise undergraduate pre-health students and recent alumni on healthcare career exploration, program admissions requirements, and exam preparation; develop and host events/workshops; build collaborations with campus and community partners to expand experiential learning opportunities; design and coordinate pre-health experiences and a mentorship program for second-year and above students; support student organizations and communications related to pre-health activities; and contribute to program development and assessment within Vanderbilt's Health Professions Advisory Office. The role requires strong coaching, communication, project management, and confidentiality, with the ability to work evening hours and independently as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education is necessary.
- Master’s degree in counseling, higher education, student affairs or related field is preferred.
- Two (2) years’ experience in health professions advising or post-baccalaureate or MS program (including counseling, educational programming, faculty engagement, admissions collaboration, and administrative responsibilities) OR Master’s degree in counseling, higher education, or related field, with at least one (1) year of experience in pre-health advising, admissions, or a related career setting is necessary.
