Job Summary
The Pre-Employment Coordinator adjudicates background checks (criminal, employment, education, and MVR as applicable) in alignment with company standards and regulations; applies company guidelines and regulatory requirements (FCRA, EEOC, state/local laws); assesses discrepancies and documents audit-ready decisions; acts as liaison with requesters, applicants, and screening vendor; supports adverse action processes with HR/compliance; monitors performance metrics (turnaround times, backlog, vendor SLAs); identifies trends and recommends process improvements; coordinates Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with the screening vendor; supports Americas Security, Health and Safety team as needed. Required: high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in background screening, adjudication, or HR compliance; knowledge of criminal, education, and employment verifications; strong attention to detail and decision-making skills; familiarity with FCRA and applicable hiring regulations; strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred: experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment; vendor management experience; ability to interpret complex criminal records; experience with reporting, metrics, and performance monitoring; exposure to audits or regulated environments; process improvement and workflow optimization experience. The role reports to the Americas Director of Security, Health and Safety.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years in background screening, adjudication, or HR compliance
- Knowledge of criminal, education, and employment verifications
- Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable hiring regulations
