Job Summary
Under the clinical supervision of a licensed psychologist who provides supervision across all internship activities, the Psychology Intern evaluates patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders, may conduct psychological testing, and develops and implements treatment plans using multiple psychotherapy modalities. The intern writes comprehensive psychological reports, participates in case conceptualization and diagnostic impressions, and communicates results to patients, families, and health-care teams. The role involves collaboration with primary care and behavioral health colleagues, contributes to documentation, and aims toward completion of the doctoral degree in the intern's graduate program; licensure is not required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited doctoral program in clinical, counseling, or educational psychology leading to the award of the Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D degree.
- Completion of all graduate coursework and dissertation defended and IRB approval obtained prior to starting the internship.
- Permission from educational program’s Director of Clinical Training (DCT) to begin internship.
- A minimum of 400 intervention hours and 50 assessment hours prior to beginning internship year.
- Licensure not required.
