Job Summary
Manage the team transitioning vehicles from "Work-in-Progress" to "Customer-Ready" by delivering throughput, quality, and flow targets. Monitor workflows to identify disruptions such as growing queues or delays, then investigate root causes to implement permanent solutions. Refine work methods to eliminate waste while maintaining rigorous adherence to established processes and high-quality benchmarks. Set clear expectations, build team capability, and escalate system-level roadblocks to ensure peak performance. Operate on the floor engaging with staff in real time, leveraging experience in high-output production or automotive environments. Based at the Granville, Sydney site, this role supports Carma's mission to shake up the Australian automotive industry through seamless, hassle-free car buying.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading high-output teams in a fast-paced production, logistics, pre delivery or automotive environment
- Capability to drive performance through people, inspiring a team rather than just managing tasks
- Ability to set clear standards, keep energy high, and confidently address underperformance head-on
- Sharp eye for detail and a natural instinct for identifying the root causes of problems
- Ability to pivot fast, adapt easily, and stay calm under pressure in a rapid-fire environment
- Valid NSW Driver's Licence
- Exposure to lean operations or continuous improvement environments
