Job Summary
Pre-Delivery Estimator role focused on developing accurate pre-delivery cost estimates for Sandvik machinery. Responsibilities include reviewing job/tender specs, calculating labour, materials, consumables, kitting, modifications and third-party costs; sourcing and validating supplier pricing; maintaining pre-delivery scope templates and PD catalogue; updating Maximo templates and content; forecast input for 12-, 6-, and 3-month PD plans; ensuring PD estimates align with safety, quality, and procedural standards. Collaboration with workshop supervisors, technicians, sales, and aftermarket teams to align scope and delivery requirements; strong emphasis on data analysis, historical data review to improve estimate accuracy, and presenting estimates to internal stakeholders. Required experience in workshop/manufacturing/pre-delivery environments, ERP/Maximo proficiency, strong Excel/MS Project skills, and ability to operate within a safety/compliance framework. The role is primarily office-based with occasional travel, located in Kenwick, WA, Australia, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Proven cost estimation experience
- Experience using Maximo (ERP) or similar planning systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Project
- Ability to work across workshop, manufacturing, and commercial teams
- Right to live and work in Australia
- Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in engineering or related field (desirable)
